Course Objectives

Learn about the local health department role in the Community Health Improvement (CHI) Cycle ​

Participants will explore how local health departments contribute to coordinating partnerships, guiding data-informed decision-making, and supporting community-driven health improvement efforts.

Receive an introduction to a Community Health Improvement Planning tool from NACCHO, MAPP 2.0​ 

Identify current roles, participation levels, and gaps in representation to recognize missing or underrepresented perspectives.

Practice using MAPP 2.0 tools related to stakeholder engagement

Through guided activities, participants will practice using tools that help identify partners, strengthen collaboration, and support inclusive engagement in community health improvement efforts.
